The sign said SLOW... or did it?
A dark forest road.
A heated argument.
A caution sign.

The Filmmakers

Todd Carney – Writer

Todd Carney is an award-winning writer (Best Screenwriting, Caution Sign, 2009 Dark Carnival Film Festival) but he had to “get a real job.” He has been a Post Production Supervisor in Southern California for over ten years. He began writing and illustrating little books before Kindergarten. At the age of 9, he said, “I have to get it down or it will be lost forever.” He is known in his hometown, Bloomfield, Indiana, as the High School boy who taped all the ball games but never watched, except maybe the girls’ teams. He would write stories during halftime. Jennifer is his wonderful wife and college sweetheart. They graduated in 1994 from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. They have our only two grandchildren, Aidan (6) and Donovan (2), that miss their grandparents, Walter and Carol Carney, in Indiana. Love, Mom and Dad (BIO CONTRIBUTED BY TODD’S MOM. SLIGHTLY EDITED (BY TODD) FOR CONTENT)

Wade Carney – Director

Wade Carney is the writer/director of the short films The Matter (2007) and The Bonding Agent (2008), and the director of the forthcoming feature-length romantic-dramedy Picking Sagittarius, currently in post-production. Wade has also worked extensively in the theatre as both actor and director, having studied acting while obtaining his degree in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University (1997). He is currently a freelance director and developing his own upcoming projects.

Amber Gainey Meade – Starring as Joan

Amber Gainey Meade spun her Northwestern University theatre degree into brass, booking national tours and Equity theatre gigs all over Chicagoland before heading out West. In LA, she has been spotted (pun intended) with dots on her face and sensors on her mocap suit, creating characters and voices for Bob Zemeckis/Image Movers Digital in “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” and “Mars Needs Moms.” Consistent with her habit of getting paid to talk… Amber spends her downtime traveling as a spokes model on the national automotive circuit, blabbing about horsepower and torque. But she’s happiest at home in LA with her rock star/entertainment lawyer husband, Tim Meade. More witty quips at www.ambergaineymeade.com..

Elizabeth Kirkscey – Producer

Elizabeth Kirkscey has recently moved into the archival field and works for a major studio. Past credits include associate producer of the feature film “Syriana” and director of physical production at Paramount Vantage.

Rob Nagle – Starring as Hal

Rob Nagle works as an actor whenever he can – theatre, film, television, commercials. Doesn’t really matter to him. He graduated from Northwestern University and makes his home in West Hollywood, California, with his wife Heather and their pug Roosevelt. Oh, and he always wondered if he could build his own website… and it’s official: he is a geek. www.robnagle.com

Greg Schwartz – Editor

Greg Schwartz has edited many short films and music videos. He currently works at New Wave Entertainment as an online editor for DVD value-added content and EPKs. He graduated Northwestern University with a degree in film.

Anna Siri – Producer/Writer

ANNA SIRI is an award-winning writer and producer. Recent credits include the horror feature MEADOWOODS (writer) for Eagle’s Nest Films. She is a 2011 Semi-Finalist for NexTV’s Writing & Pitch Competition with her TV pilot VILLAINOUS, and a Quarter-Finalist with SALEM. She was as a 2009 Nicholl’s Fellowship Quarterfinalist with Sharri Hefner for their screenplay DEAD EX. Her short film CAUTION SIGN (writer, producer), won Best Screenwriting at the 2009 Dark Carnival Film Festival after a successful festival run, and her screenplay THE NEWS GIRL was a winner of the 2005 UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting Competition. Anna graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in film, as well as the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting, and occasionally teaches TV pilot development at the New York Film Academy. She is currently developing projects with the Caution Sign team and is repped by Bryan Brucks at Brucks Entertainment. www.cautionsignmovie.com, www.meadowoodsarmy.com
